About Us
Jim Brimer was born in California, raised in Oklahoma City, and a resident of West Texas since 1976. Jim has two daughters and three grandchildren, and a black standard poodle named Abbey. Jim and his wife, Beth, were married in 1982.
Jim began his career in insurance and securities in 1982 when he joined New York Life Insurance Company. In 1997, after fifteen years of trying to adapt to the "one size fits all" selection of products, canned sales methods and ideas, dealing with corporate hierarchy mentality, and the production quota systems imposed on "captive" agents for a mega-company, Jim left New York Life.
Now, Jim is a completely independent "broker", representing his clients interests, rather than being an "agent" presenting the products of a single company.
Shortly after they were married in 1982, Beth joined Jim's insurance and securities practice. Beth's administrative efficiency, product knowledge, and aggressiveness in resolving claims and administration problems on behalf of clients, eventually lead to her taking over the administration of the medical insurance division of Jim's business.
Today, the Brimer's have clients all across West Texas and the Southwest. Being completely independent from any company's control, Jim and Beth are free to search the array of products and services available in order to meet the specific and unique needs of each client.
